Spring is here. The light is changing. The Peninsula feels brighter. It’s that turning point in the year where everything begins to wake up again. Coats get lighter, people step outside more, and suddenly everyone feels ready for a refresh. Hair included.
For us, spring feels full of momentum. The salon continues to grow, the Design District is buzzing, and there’s a real sense of energy around Greenwich Peninsula right now. With new team members, new products and exciting things happening locally, it feels like the perfect time to bring you along with us.
A note from Stanley
From time to time, running a salon means making decisions that aren’t just about trends, but about values. What we believe in and what genuinely benefits the people sitting in our chairs.
This spring marks a shift in the products we support in the salon. It wasn’t a quick decision and it certainly wasn’t taken lightly. But ultimately it felt like a natural progression and the closest way to stay true to our core values.
We’ve always believed in eco-conscious choices, real science behind formulations, and bringing the best possible care to our clients’ hair and scalp. The products we’re now supporting align beautifully with that thinking. They are over 96% naturally derived, dermatologically tested, and built around high performance formulas that genuinely deliver.
There’s also the practical reality of running a small business. We’re constantly looking at how we can provide better value without compromising quality. In this case, the formulas are more concentrated, meaning you use less product and they last longer. The packaging is more efficient, the cost to the client is lower, and the performance is exceptional. In short, it simply made sense.
A lot of companies don’t talk about the thinking behind these kinds of changes. But we wanted to be transparent about it. When we introduce something new to the salon, it’s because we genuinely believe in it. Not because it’s fashionable or heavily marketed, but because it’s better.
Better for the hair. Better for the scalp. Better value for our clients. Sometimes the simplest decisions really are the best ones. We are proud to now be an Insight Salon and hope you love the products as much as we do!

Welcome Lucia
We’re incredibly excited to welcome Lucia to the Stanley Watts team.
A Mancunian Italian with all the energy, style and colour confidence you would expect from a Stanley Watts stylist, Lucia brings a wealth of experience from session work and editorial shoots, working behind the camera on campaigns and major brand projects.
Her background means she understands hair not just in the mirror, but through the lens. Shape, tone, movement and impact. The kind of detail that makes hair look just as good walking down the street as it does in front of the camera.
Lucia is now taking bookings and we have a feeling she’s going to be very busy very quickly.
Man Down Greenwich
We’re really pleased to say that Man Down Greenwich is now firmly part of the rhythm here at Stanley Watts.
After a very positive start and strong feedback from those who attended the first sessions, the group will now be running every fortnight in the salon. It’s been incredibly encouraging to see the space used exactly as intended, simply as a place where men can come together, talk openly, or just sit and listen without pressure.
As always, the sessions are completely confidential, non-judgmental, and welcoming to anyone who feels they might benefit from being in the room. There’s no expectation to speak, no pressure, and no agenda beyond creating a supportive environment where people can be heard.
We’re proud to be able to offer the salon as a space for something that feels genuinely important for the community.

The holy grail range of Insight
We are loving the Daily energise range from Insight.
Containing organic lemon extract and an energising phytocomplex composed of apricot butter and corn germ oil. The energising range protects hair from drying out, strengthens the hair fiber and nourishes hair at the root, leaving your hair shiny and glossy. The perfect product for both short and long hair.

We also have some very exciting personal news to share.
As some of you may already have seen in the salon or on social media, a new member will be joining the Stanley Watts family this summer. We’re delighted to share that salon owner Stanley and salon manager Francesca are expecting a little mini SW, due in July.
It’s a very special moment for us both and we’re incredibly excited to be growing our family alongside the continued growth of the salon.
With that in mind, Francesca will be beginning her maternity leave from mid June. If you’re one of Francesca’s regular colour or styling clients, we’d recommend booking upcoming appointments in advance as her diary is already filling up quickly in the lead up to summer.
As always, the wider Stanley Watts team will be here to ensure everything runs smoothly while Francesca takes some well earned time away, and we’ll keep you updated as the exciting arrival gets closer.
